OVERVIEW

The Family Learning Center is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt not-for-profit organization, located in Boulder, Colorado. We are a comprehensive human services agency that annually provides thousands of low-income children and families with programs and skills training in youth and family development, education, health and wellness, and community development.

Established in 1981 by community organizer Brenda Lyle, local advocates and parents, The Family Learning Center began as an early childhood co-op for 43 low-income preschool children and their families. Today it has grown to become a full-service human services agency, serving more than 2,000 children and families a year, supported by a volunteer Board of Directors, over 18 staff and more than 200 volunteers.

For 28 years, The Family Learning Center has provided low income and culturally diverse children and families with meaningful opportunities to become educated, productive members of the community who can successfully compete in a global society.
